AUM represents the expansion of the universe and the spiritual energy (Chaithanyam) behind that. AUM represents Srishti, Sthithi and Layam – creation, maintenance and destruction. It is the expansion of the universal mind into different forms. The mind can expand only when the spiritual energy throbs.
