Pranam Swamiji, When a person talks about first person to second person and second person to first person (gossip or a spy) we are calling him a “Narada”. But throughout your discourses you are praising “Narada” (A servant son got a chance to listen great rishis discourse) and labeling as a great messenger of god.

Narada was an enlightened Vedic sage and a master of the Six vedic angas, who was respected by all celestial beings. He was very knowledgeable in Nyaya , yoga and Sankhya. He was wise and humorous at the same time. He could travel long distances and was the journalist of the vedic times. Sometimes the informations that he passed on, created trouble and hence the usage that you described is still prevalent. Hari Om.
