Pranam Swamiji, Why few people take birth as blind, deaf, disabled without legs and hands etc.., If it is because of poorva janma karma phala, why the body should suffer. The soul is already taking sacrifices as Garuda puranam says the soul has to cross Vidyarani river which is full of poisonous creatures and again the soul will be put in a boiler which is full of boiling oil etc.. by yama kingaras to complete the karmic burden of previous life. This means the soul is purified before taking new birth and hence why it should take disabled body. Pls advs.

It is important to understand puranas are books that describe, not facts, but stories and exaggerations to convey a tatwam. When it says the soul crosses Vaitharani with difficulties we need to understand “there is a reaction for every action”. When a person is born with disabilities, he is living off some karmic burden at a physical level. But such people can have very enlightened minds. So there is no need to look down upon them. They may be much more elevated than people with no disabilities. Instead of thinking why they are that way, our Dharma is to support them and care for them. Hari Om.
