Dear Dhananjayan,
Please understand that each mind s different and independent.
It is just like the different rays of one Sun.
As you read Bhagavatham, contemplating and living in that will definitely uplift your mind.
When you read for others, please understand that you can not transform their mind because their thoughts are not under your control.
You can read Bhagavatham for your mother to express your respect towards tradition and gratitude for her.
HariOm!
