Pranam Swamiji,In Ramayana, in the forest Laxmana (jeevatma) is walking in front, Sita (maya) is in between and Rama (paramatma) is walking behind. In order to reach Paramatma we have to overcome maya. So Laxmna Should walk behind and Rama should walk in front. But why it is in reverse? or we can interpret, behind every jeevatma there is a Paramatma but maya is creating a hindrance between!

The narration is perfect. The material world needs your Ego(I ness and My ness). Lakshmana represent that I, but we should not forget that this I is the part of the infinite Paramatma (Ram). Maya is so powerful that it creates a shield of ignorance that block the self from its source. Moreover it make you feel that you are part of your body or your “superman” thoughts. Ram is depicted behind to emphasis that the Supreme consciousness that sustains everything is sublime/ subtle and not overtly evident to a man who thinks of himself as self sufficient. Hari Om.
