Pranam Swamijji…_/_ “Manas” has no death but brain has. What is “Manas ” actually? Even when we take decisions in our life, it is the brain that does so. Then how and when does our “Manas” comes to the play. Swamiji, please clear away my confusion. Om Gurave Namah…_/_

Manas or thoughts are not part of your physical brain. If it was, the dead body should have a mind since the brain is still there. When you say manas has no death you are understanding it is an energy complex different from brain that has death. It is part of the conscious energy that permeates the universe. Scriptures call the individual mind jeevathma, and is a part of the supreme mind or consciousness called the Paramathma. Spirituality according to our scriptures is the process of expansion of your mind towards the universal consciousness and hence Hinduism is the science of the mind. Hari Om.
