Pranamam Guruji, What is the actual significance of going to temple? Hari Om
Posted by Vinita on January 4, 2017
The word kshetram means “that which transcends you from ill-being” (kshethangalil innu thraanam cheyyunnathu). So temple is a consecrated energy center which helps you charge the divine energy within yourself. The words Vigraha (viseshena graahayathi) means that which gives you a profound understanding. By looking at the deity, you are becoming aware of the presence of the infinite power source in yourself, that you need to identify and tap into. Every temple visit should be to maintain and recharge that power in us, so we can go out and deal with the challenges of the external world more effectively and gracefully. Hari Om.
