Pranamam Poojya Swamiji, I feel tremendous mental pain when i write this. I am a 24 year old girl who was brought up in kerala. Since the time I was young, I was used to visiting the nearby temple everyday. After my studies, I got a job and am still working in Dubai and staying with my husband. My husband and his relatives always ridicule me going to temples and also attending poojas which are conducted here. (like Ayyappan pooja, Radha Kalyanam etc..) They ridicule telling that such things are for ppl who are not educated, Educated people have to read the scriptues at home. I agree to that, however, in our schedule, we hardly find time to do that..So, i feel happy that i am able to attend such things and gain some knowledge.I feel very bad when they ridicule me for doing such things!!!Please hel me in overcoming such feelings swamiji!!!

Dear Divya,
If your attitude and reaction are not positive then definitely others can hurt you easily.
Understand, we have no freedom on what comes to our life. But God has given you strength and intelligence to react positively.
Study the story of Prahlada; he was humiliated and tortured by his own father and family. But he had intelligenthy and devotionally managed to gain mental strength.
HariOm!
