Pranamam swamiji, Every human being is born with 10 qualities of positive and negative in nature. When we grow old some qualities predominate over the others. It is up to us to nurture the positive ones and discard/manage the negative ones. Is it true swamiji? If so,are these qualities are called our “vasanas”? Or any benchmark is there to these qualities to become “vasanas”.Or what is the difference between these qualities and vasanas?.Kindly clarify swamiji.

Broadly speaking, we can say that a quality becomes a Vasana when a doership is attached to it and repetitive thinking on it makes it hard wired in your mind.
On the contary, an action born out of spontaneity in surrender to the Lord and dropped then and there itself by keeping the mind blank does not become a Vasana.
Always remember that attachment to negative causes guilt and attachment to positive causes arrogance and both lead to Vasanas.
A negative quality can be refined into positive and then with non-attachment to even the positive quality, frees your mind.
