Pranamam Swamiji, I have heard in one of the Spiritual videos that there are three Gunas for example in Satwa the intake of the food must in an hour, The food which is very Hot or Cold is Rajas and Stale food comes under Thamo. But Lord Krishna never said to not eat Non-Vegeterian anywhere in Gita…pls clarify is this True?

What you eat is not a matter or religion, but what is good for your life energy. Medical science is very aware of the negative effects of non-vegetarian food because the human body is not equipped to handle non-vegetarian food, just like a cow or elephant cannot handle it. So when you eat non-veg, it will create an acidic environment in your cells which may cause cancer, rheumatic disorders, heart disease etc. Vegetarianism was adopted into the Hindu way of life since our Rishis understood its benefits. As Bhagavan pointed out, warm, easy to digest, light food is best for your body constitution. Stale food is bad hence thamasic,….. High in spices, extreme heat or cold is not good either and hence considered rajasic. What is good for human body is Universal and applies to whole of mankind. Hari Om.
