Rama is the conscious intellegence, Lakshmana is the emotional mind and Sita is the “ego” who was taken by Ravana the selfishness and by the help of
Guru ( Hanu (strong) minded one “hanuman”) mind again unites with Paramathma.
So it is the separation and reunion of the mind with Paramatma.
