Please read the article on Karkidakavavu on our site. When a death happens the physical body returns to the panchabhootas, the Prana carries the mind and causal body to “pitruloka” which is nothing but the entire pool of sperms in the universe through which a new life happens. The mind acquires a new body based on the nature of its stored karma. If the sperm carrying a particular mind, unites with an egg to obtain a physical body, the mind then directs the development of that body and its characters. When your body sustains an injury, you know the body heals itself. Or the food you eat, becomes your body. So the process of creation is happening from within you. The source of that creation in you is your atma. Hari Om
