Pranamam swamiji, why women are not allowed to enter sabarimala from 11 yrs to 50 yrs. The reason we hear is that lord ayyappa is brahmachari but then why there is no prohibition in other ayyappa temples, what is the correct reason ??

Each deity in a temple is consecrated in a certain Bhavam and the rituals, mantras and poojas are done to promote that energy level. Sabarimala unlike other Ayyappa temples have maintained the culture of not allowing women from olden days mainly because in those days it was probably unsafe for women to travel in the hard forests with men. The argument that Ayyappa is Brahmachari, should apply in other temples as well, but other temples do not restrict women. Hari Om.
