Pranamam Swamiji,I am a Banker & i sells all products to my customers like accounts,insurance & so on… recently a senior citizen came to me & said that he want to claim the amt as his wife had expired & that policy was made by me so i started the process & everything was well he got amt also.He called me for his wife monthly ceremony so i went there & he is a brahmin he done so many poojas,gifted cow & so on… after all i asked him why what is the reason that he is spending all the amt whatever he got to his wife ceremonies like 3days,10 days,monthly & yearly… he said that just her wife will get peace.My question is why this many poojas & why he gifts cow what is the significance in that…

Your client has the freedom to do whatever makes him happy and peaceful. If he is donating to others in whatever form someone is benefitting from it. It would be better to do some charity to deserving people in the name of his wife, than do elaborate pujas. Such a revolution in thinking is needed in our times and it is the responsibility of each one of us to educate others to do it. Hari Om.
