Pranamam Swamiji,Swamiji, i need answers to few questions of mine.In the beginning as I started my spiritual progress, the act ‘Surrender’ was very confusing and was so hard. With my thinking mind, I thought that like a tyrant, God needs our surrender, that is why he created beings….Like a war where one surrenders to other…HE needs my praise for his own happiness and Creation is for this….As I progressed i realised that God or Being is the infinite Consciousness with no desire, hence no want, nothing…complete in itself…and Creation is nothing but a beautiful play of Self…and He is an embodiment of Love.Swamiji, what i found is that Surrender is nothing but changing the identification…from mind to Self… through surrender we are trying proceed beyond the mind and is trying to dissolve into Self, because without surrendering the mind, it doesn’t leave it’s ego.And also, No total Surrender is possible without True love for the Lord, so it is an act of total love.Swamiji, are these viewpoints of mine, correct?… Please correct it if wrong… because even now i cannot totally surrender with love and respect

Your thinking mind itself is what stops you from total surrender. Bhaktiyogam or path of total surrender happens when you are totally simple and child like at heart. That is why it was a perfect way for Sree Ramakrishna, but not for Vivekananda who was more of a Jnanayogi. The thinking mind is also a doubtful mind. The trouble you have now, is in trying to “LOVE” the Lord, when you and the Lord (self) still remains as two entities. Instead, what you need, is to dissolve into the Self. That happens only as you expand yourself to accept everything, or reduce yourself to becoming nothing. If reducing yourself and dissolving the ego is troublesome, try to expand, accept everything and be all encompassing. Hari Om.
