Pranamam Swamiji, We were staying in a rented house till last June. The house belonged to one of our family friend. We were very much close to their parents too. On last June 2nd my father in law passed away. At that time our house owner was at Kerala. And he didn’t knew about our father’s demise. But during that time he used to have frequent dreams about his father. He used to come in his dreams and tell to go back to their parental house (where we were staying). And in his dream he said that I can’t stay there as Anil (my husband) is staying there. His father replied that Anil will shift from there shortly. When he came back from Kerala he came to know about our father’s demise and that we have shifted. He was surprised and shared this experience with us. Does the persons who have done good karmas come again in the same familiy. What about persons who have done bad karmas? Where does the atma goes? Do they have the power to see and communicate with us. Swamiji please explain. HariO

Dear Vrinda,
When a person dies his mind which carries the culture that he developed decides where he has to take birth.
So a person with a good behaviour with a helping mind, religious mind will continue to be in a human life according to Lord Krishna (Refer Bhagavad Gita sixth chapter slokas 40, 41 and 42).
A person who does harms to others, his journey will be in a lower level of life according to Krishna ( refer Gita 16th chapter slokas 18,19 and 20).
