Goddess Kali represents Mother Nature, above and beyond the limitations of the physical world. So she represents the raw, dark, untamed and wild Prakriti. She is benevolent, yet fierce and scary to man. She wears a garland of heads and skirt made of dismembered arms. Her weapons are depicted to behead the asura. She teaches you that losing your bodily identification and beheading your ego, is the only way to Mukti. She stands on Shiva, the Sat-Chit- Anandam, because Prakriti is eternally supported by consciousness. Or the world of forms stands on the Formless. Hari Om.
