Pranipat swamiji, I know you said with a control mind and positive thinking we can diminish the negative influence astronomical position have on us. Swamiji by the knowledge I received from the lotus feet of Lord krishna I know that we have to pay the price for our own action, so why is it that pandits are telling people they have nav graha, Kali, bhairavi, muni etc, and taking lots of money to save them from their problems. Is there any truth to that?

Karma and effects of Karma have been explained in Gita. You can diminish the negative effects well as you said by Jnana and Yoga. Astrology is a science in itself which describes how the cosmic planetary alignment may potentially influence your existence at a certain time. The predictions can go wrong too. The business element and exploitation by some people is a different matter altogether.
Remember, a weak mind is like a creeper that looks for a support.
Astrology is a weak support while Sadhana is the strongest support, which transforms your emotional weakness into devotional strength.
