Pujya Swamiji, I am very Thankful to You, because You opened my eyes wider on Bhakti. I am from an Orthodox family where my both grandparents are malayalee Potti. I have 2 kids 1 is 11 yrs and other 5 yr. I was scared to teach my kids Bhakti because of many Don’t do’s and Can,t do’s Still I am bit confused about the scriptures saying Don’t have attachment to wife and kids-BG Chap13.Vse 10, My Question is how can kids grow up without giving them love and affection and The wife has the right to be loved for taking care of kids. If a Person doesn’t have affection for his family, society will suffer. I love devotional service, please answer me clear me Hari Om Divya

Unfortunately we are confused about what love is. Mostly we take attachment and possessiveness as love.
True love is uplifting each other and encouraging, caring and sharing with all.
When you have “I”ness and “My”ness, that pollutes your mind. Your spouse and children will feel suffocated with that kind of love.
So, instead of limiting your love within your small family, feel connected with all around you.
That sense of responsibility will give contentment in the family and society.
