Recently I started to learn about self talk. There are vast studies and research on this subject. Experts in every field uses to build themselves. For instances, sports men, Olympians, etc. Then I started to look into Ramayana. I am no expert at Ramayana, but there is one scenario where Lord Hanuman were verbally praised by his supporters to build confidence to cross the ocean to go to Lanka. I also had an opportunity to watch Lord Hanuman TV series where Hanuman understood the value of self talk and in trouble he would self talk of how great and how powerful he is in the midst of chaos. Since I cannot recall them, could you please share those situations when Hanuman had to talk to himself for self confidence?

Hari Ohm. Apparently, human brain has three main functions. 1. ego,2. emotional thoughts,and3. intellectual decisions and determinations.Majority of the people identify themselves with weak emotions that gradually weaken their intellectual abilities and capabilities. the fluctuating mind keeps on thinking about problems and entertain thoughts of anxieties and fear If you want to develop confidence ,you have to stop the murmuring of emotional mind ,the your intellect will be very clear about your actions and reactions.Such persons will have high confidence level. If you chant Lord’s name like what Hanumanji did ;you can command your brain about what you want to do, how to react etc. If you don’t practice sadhana even if you give command to brain your wavering mind will distract your decisions with fear and anxieties. Hanumanji is free from that distracted mind because he involves in relentless chanting of Lord’s name .Practice and discover the strength in you.
