Respected Guruji, My pranamam first of all. Thank you for enlightening me a lot. Last week I have asked a doubt about ringing of the bells in temples, I havent got the reply. Anyway I am repeating the same. What is the purpose of ringing of the bells. Non-Hindus are not allowed to ring the bells , why is it Swamiji? Please enlighten me. Thank you and pranams.

Dear Radhakrishnan,
When I am traveling, I am not in a position to answer the questions immediately; hence the delay!
The temple bells produce the auspicious sound AUM and fills the atmosphere with a positive energy.
It also draws the attention of the devotees and increases concentration.
It depends on the traditions and customs followed in the temples that may or may not allow people from ringing the bells.
God is not a Hindu or Christian or Muslim as you know! Temple customs are formed and practised through many years, which are not very flexible!
