Wearing Poonool is a warning or reminder that you are under the attraction (or attachment) to physical bodies, possession of property and attachment to near and dear ones. We should always direct our attention to the higher energy; otherwise these three bondages can keep our mind in the mundane world.
Depending on the chants and the no. of times of the chant, the Pooja can vary in time.
