Respected Swamiji i was listening to your talk on Gyana Yoga channel. You were explaining about consciousness (bodham). There was one point which was not clear to me. You said that consciousness is not contained in the body but it is linked to it.. Wherein lies the difference? It is a part of us whether it is contained in the body or whether it is interlinked to it. What is the significance of the difference?hari Om Namaskar. Padma.

The Jeevatma and the body come together and exist together to make a life. At death, the body remains and the Athma leaves to continue its journey in other suitable bodies. Even though when you are alive the Bodham remains attached to the body, and seems like one entity, when the person dies, we say he/she left, though the body remains. The Bodham has then left the body. So what attaches in early life detaches at death. Bodham is not contained in the body, but Bodham wears the body. Hari Om.
