Respected Swamiji, My Amma passed away 3 years back. It was a very painful death for her. 6 months she suffered a lot. My question is she was so good at heart then why a painful death. My second question is after her death if she had taken a birth then will I be able to meet her in some or the other way. I know this is a stupid question but in bhagavatham I had read of taking a new birth. So was just curious to know. Regards,

Every birth is triggered by a certain amount of karma and that amount of karmic burden has to be lived off in each birth. Experiences that we go through both good and bad are determined by the “prarabdhakarma”. Now, the soul is not a male of female, and it has no attributes. The soul that was in your mother’s body may have been someone else’s father, daughter or son in other prior births. All relations are related to the body/mind and not of the soul. What you need to do now, is to live a life that would make your mother proud and pray for her soul to reach Paramatma at the earliest. Hari Om.
