Any energy body has a peripheral energy field around it called aura. Since the vigraham is consecrated as an energy body it has power called chaithanyam, causing aura around it. The chaithanyam of the temple is not affected by your impurity, but for you to get the benefit from the chaithanyam of the vigraham, your body and mind has to be receptive. If your body or mind is impure you are not receptive to the benefits of going to the temple. In that case, it is better to avoid going. A temple should be considered a place you go, to fill yourself with the divine energy. Hari Om.
