Respected swamiji, thanking you so much for bringing a platform to help everyone by clarifying their doubts. Am in a mission to find a life partner for me. Last day i went for seeing a girl. After i gave introduction about myself she told me that she had an affair. But it didn’t well end. So she doesn’t want to make a mistake again in her life. She spoke very openly about her responsiblities and everything. When i asked why she told me about her past she replied she doesn’t want to create troubles in future by keeping secrets. I enquired about her and everyone has a good opinion about her. She is a girl who visits temple daily, one who is always active in satsangs and kind person. If i tell my parents about her affair they will drop this proposal. I liked her. Still i want an opinion from an elder person. So kindly please tell me your opinion.

You found a girl who you liked, who everyone thinks is kind, socially active, responsible and open about herself. She loved a person at a time when you were not anywhere in her spectrum. She had the option to marry you with our telling you anything, yet, wanted to be open to you on everything. Don’t you feel that is a great reason to marry her? There is nothing more valuable in marriage than 100% honesty with your spouse. And honesty is something that only cultured people maintain. Be thankful that you found her and without any doubt marry her. Tell her you don’t care what she was yesterday, but from the day of marriage she will be and she should be yours with all her heart.
