Respected Swamiji, I have some doubts for which i need your clarification. It is said that God is only one, then why is it so that in different situations we are asked to pray to different Gods. For example: Sani dosham we are asked to pray to Ayyappan, to overcome bad times we are asked to pray to Murugan, Devi, Krishna and Shiva. My next question is, at what all times is it good to read Bhagavatham ? I heard that it should be read only till 11 am. Can it be read in the evening or any other times ? We are non-veg that is why i am asking this question. Is there any wrong in hearing Sahasranamam, Narayanium, Gayathri, etc. while working in the kitchen. Can we play the recorder in the kitchen? Kidnly clear my doubts swamiji.. waiting for your reply.. Thanks & regards Amrutha

Dear Amrutha,
All these concepts developed from time to time.
Vedas glorified universal God who resides in your self as Chaithnaym.
Multiplicity is created by a disturbed mind.
Peaceful minds always realize the ONENESS behind all forms.
One has to grow from the “many forms” to “one form” and then to the “formless” Chathanyam!
Sincere spiritual practices will help you reach that stage. Remember that God can not be defined or confined by man made forms!
“AYAM ATMA BRAHMAM”.
Reading Bhagavatham with a sincere, committed and prayerful heart is what actually matters!
The Lord sees your mind only, not your external surroundings!
So listening and chanting and singing HIS glory in your mind at all times should help you feel HIS presence always!
