Respected Swamiji, I was happy to hear Swamiji’s annoucement during this morning’s discourse on Asianet about setting up a Gurukul at Bhagavatam Village teaching the Vedas, Upanishads, Astronomy, Ayurveda, along with the current Science and Arts subjects. Combining the ancient education with the modern in a curriculam will be a noble and laudable objective. I am sure that this overdue venture will get widespread support and encourage and educate the next generation the value of our heritage and the richness of our culture in varied fields. We must realize that our Great Culture was based on that value-based education system.
Foreign invasions spanning over many centuries led to the down fall of our culture.
Now, it is our duty and mission to regain what we lost!
