Revered Swamiji, Namaskaram. 1) The world in which human beings are a part is made up of 24 factors as per scriptures. 5 great elements, 5 sense organs, 5 organs of action, 5 pranas and anthakaranam, i.e. budhi, manas, chitham and ahamkaram. At the time of death, the gross items such as pancha bhootas and pancha pranas join with Prakriti. What about the other 14 items? Are they becoming the causal body for rebirth? Is it a part of Jeevathma which takes a new birth? 2) We see many babes born with some kind of impairment to their limbs or sense organans such as eyes, ears etc. We can see only the external defects. What about the faculties that enliven the limbs and sense organs which are part of the Jeevathma? Do they also have defects? Is it possible to have any kinds of defects in them? I request Swamiji to clear the above points. Hariom!

Our existence has 5 layers described as kosas. At death as you said the body and prana returns to Prakriti. The inner three kosas or layers of existence become the causal body that carries with it the karmic burden and acquires a body that will enable it to dissolve the karmas and move towards moksha. What type of physical body or environment you acquire is decided by your causal body. Hari Om
