GREETINGS

Revered Swamiji, Namaskaram. A feature given in one of the TV Channels prompted me to write this . Swamiji is reminding us again and again about our duty to educate ourselves and also others. This has prompted me to write this.It is a curse in our Hindu Society that existed even at the time of Sri Sankara that our Purohits are misinterpreting our Sastras knowingly or unknowingly resulting dividing our society into two groups one blessed by God and others rejected by God. I have heard in the TV Prigramme, one Purohit misinterpreting and establishing his action right and sanctioned by GOD through Sastras. The example is ‘Purusha Sooktha” in which it is said that four Castes have come from various limbs of the Universal Person. The Sudras have come from his feet and so they are the lowest of all human beings. The Geeta also have confused gullible people of the society through the Sloka about ‘Chathurvarnyam’. The Society cannot be blamed as it is natural that majority of people follow what a Priest or Purohit has told them. It is my earnest request to Swamiji to kindly expel the misunderstanding of the people on this subject as no Sastra will attempt to divide and rule the Seekers.
