Revered Swamiji, Namaskaram. A human being is made up of BMI – Body, Mind and Intellect. Body is perceivable and can be subjected to burning, cutting etc. It is not understood of what substance is mind and intellect created. Self is said to be different from all these and has no qualities. Mind and Intellect seem to be more difficult to understand than the Self. Will Swamiji please throw some light on these?

The pure, infinite consciousness is self. However mind is the individual self that does stem from consciousness but is attached to the material world through thoughts and sense organs. Intellect is something that man has acquired through learning and education, quite often a product of his environment. Do not confuse intellect with intelligence which is the innate wisdom of the self.
