several incidents have strengthened my belief in astrology, but i find that swamiji always discourages any belief in astrology. may i ask why?

Dear Vidya,
There was a time in history, when the Earth was considered to be at the center and Sun and Moon were revolving around the Earth. Do you believe that today?
A belief need not be the Truth!
Beliefs are capable of controlling one’s life and attitude to life; so it can misguide and mislead too!
Astrology is a Science; but the predictions can be reliable only if the astrologer’s Upasana is strong!
Even if the predictions are correct, it can not help you to uplift your mind to the Lord, which is the sole source of strength!
For that you need to do Sadhana!
That is why I discourage any thing that deviates your mind from the Supreme Truth!
