Swaji, Please comment on this mail: Since Easwaran is “sarvavyaapi” or omnipresent, why should we go to the temple to pray? Even from some Aachaaryaas we have heard that there is no need to go to the temple. In this context, I would like to share a sloka from “thantra Samucchayam ” written by Guruvayur thanthri Brahmasri Chennasu Nambudiri. sarvathragOsi bhagavaan kila yadyapitva- maavaahayaami yathhaa vyajanaena vaayum goodhO yathhaiva dahanOmathhanaaputhaithi- hyavaahithOpihithathhatvamupaischaaryaam “Even though air is present everywhere, a fan (handheld or electric) brings more air to a particular place. Fire hiding with in a piece of wood is brought out by striking it. Likewise, even though Easwaran is present every where, “Easwarasaannidhyam” or “divine presence” is felt significantly more where auspicious karmaas and prayers are offered (by priests and devotees.) ” Temple is a place were the atmosphere is purified by the constant chanting of Mantraas by sincere
