Dear Anirudh,
When you transform your life by participating/involving in good things, that will wash away all your sins, says Hinduism.
According to Hinduism, papam or sin will not go by mere repentance, papam is a negative thought, that can be replaced by positive thought by involving in Satkarma.
You can get rid of papam through Bhajans, Nama Sankirtan, Seva…etc
