Swami need clarification on gita 2.47 – mention that one should not desire for the result of work. If my dream/goal is to be very successful business man, did I just act opposite to 2.47. Is it my ultimate goal is to reach the God instead of being a business man?

Gita never taught such absurd ideas that one should not expect result.
Since Gita is an excellent management text, it helps us to develop a balanced and matured mind.
When you plan, that is result of your expectation. Plan yourself, work with total involvement and share the result (means share the positive with an attitude of humility).
Let your mind share the credit of your success with others.
And let the mind learn from mistakes and failures, so that it won’t brood over and blame others for failure.
