Swamiji, Bhagavat Geeta chaptrer 7.2 says :Those whose inteligent is stollen by material desires surrender unto demigods” however Chapter 17.4 says “Those who are in the mode of goodness worship demigods” Could you please clarify on the same.

You are wrongly interpreting Gita by using the terms semi Gods.
Truly speaking there is no God, then how can there be semi Gods?
Krishna Himself insists us to see Him as the Self and look at my physical form as a Guru not as God.
It is some sect who wrongly interpreted Gita by saying Krishna as God and all others as semi Gods.(Read Gita 9th chapter 11th slokam and 7th chapter 24th slokam).
