When we are kids, we all have a childhood friend whom we want to keep for ever, grow up together and imagine living our lives as friends for ever. But somewhere in college, we develop new friends, then we get new friends at work etc.etc. and the childhood friend is forgotten. Life has a way of not giving us what we really wish for. It happens in everyone’s life, in one way or other. Separating from someone you loved due to any reason, be it death or other life situations, can be painful. Do you know why you are asked to observe 20 Sivarathris? Because, that will mean 21 years. In 21 years, you likes, dislikes, attitude towards love, attachment and life itself will change. All that time, if your mind is also attaching to Shiva,the Supreme power, through your Sivarathri Vrutham, you will be able to smile at what you thought was the biggest mis-happening of your life. Take the pain you feel from the separation, and convert it to strength in your life. Life will be colourful not when you brood over your loss, but when you take it with courage, as a challenge to love everyone in your life. Stay strong….Chant Sivapanchakshari for 21 days.
