Swamiji, I am 6 months pregnant and I always wished my child to be a spiritual soul bearing good qualities. Everyday I listen to your bhagavatham discourses in gyanayogi and chant Vishnu Sahasranamam in the eve/afternoon. But the sad thing is I’m not yet able to completely control my mind. It gets irritated sometimes by seeing other’s behaviour /attitude. If I use to see mistakes on other’s side I use to blame them on my mind. It reflects in my chats with my husband and he has pointed out that this character is not so good. I know it’s very bad at this point of time, once you also advised me to keep good thoughts in mind. But I’m pathetically failing to follow the same at times. How can I overcome this situation Swamiji,..what shall I do?

Much as all of us want to be perfect, we cannot be, at times……… and it is ok. Like we forgive others, we have to be able to forgive ourselves and say “it is ok that I made a mistake, I will be careful in future” and keep trying to improve. Adding guilt about your own behavior is never a good thing as your husband pointed out. So shake off the wrong feelings, but at the same time, try not to do the same mistakes again. Divert your mind when poor thoughts come by chanting Namashivaaya. Stay happy and you will have a blessed child. Hari Om.
