Swamiji, I am a 24 year old college student. Being a girl, is it possible or appropriate for me to choose the path of renunciation? What is the basic mentality and eligibility required to become a brahmacharini? What should I do for the same? Or atleast tell me how can I dedicate my precious human life to serve the Lord. Please be kind enough to give your valuable advice.

There is no segregation as male or female in the path of renunciation. The important question is “are you truly ready for it”. Spiritual path is not for everyone and it is not an easy way either. If you are willing to embrace the world as your own, you can do it always. Service to Lord is nothing but service to fellow beings. Start out by doing your part in making other people’s life a little better in whatever way you can. Do not expect anything in return. If it is truly your way, you will realize it soon.
