Swamiji, I have seen people who tell their prayers everyday, go to the temple everyday, listening to sapthaham but still they are depressed or cry for whatever they don’t have , try to find mistakes in others,fight etc..Are these people real devotees and what do you call these people? How can we be a proper devotee to God and what type of exercise is needed to keep that devotion?

Hari Om,
Spirituality is subjective and it is about self analyzing and transforming.
Majority of people consider God as a person, and go to temple for praying.
Very few intelligent people understand God as the Conscious Energy within. Those people go to temple not for prayers but for transforming their human mind into Divine Mind.
Such people alone can change their character and attitude.
