Swamiji, I just had few doubts on how to live the good life of sadhana in the open outside world I mean at work etc. Its true that the outside world ideally should not affect you,but when you are carrying certain set of values maybe you are raised in a family like that or maybe you are on the path of sadhana, following higher spiritual path or something like that but the person before you has none of those values and maybe even enjoys hurting you ,how do you behave with such a person because being nice to them or compassionate makes that person do it even more, that’s their nature or the way that person was made to be. I know most people are not like that and definitely when your intentions are good most people reciprocate nicely but there are some who are slightly bad and negative and like to take advantage of your niceness.Such people drain my energy and take me down to their level easily . I am just a beginner in sadhana but how does a strict follower of the spiritual path deal with this clash of their values and the reality outside which is a must to deal with without we can’t come out successfully

Our scriptures have clearly explained there is a “Vyavaharika” level and a “Paramardhika” level to everyday life. Everyone is right in their own perspectives and people have reasons to behave the way they do. The first things is to identify and accept those changes in perspectives than feeling others are not right. The ability of a sadhak lies in the capacity to see why a person behaves a certain way and tackling them along those lines or even understanding their weaknesses. This will also help you not to feel victimized or drain your energy, but you will be able to handle them with kindness or even let go of them easily. More importantly it will give you the strength to forgive them knowing you are better than them. Hari Om.
