swamiji, I know personally many ladies attending bhagavatha sapthahams wherever possible without any fail . Most of them are not bothered about their family, even their old aged husbands. I have read in the puranas that for woman, especially married woman the real bhakti & shraddha should be for looking after her family. It is also says that whatever good deeds we have done is only accompany us after death. In todays world, every body is running here and there for getting moksham instantly by visiting temples and attending sapthahams and other religious functions. Is that means that one has to forgot or avoid their husband, children and other family members ?

Dear Geethaji,
You are wrong, according to Indian culture one has to become mentally independent after their children are settled down.
This is called “Vanaprastha”, then one has to get out of all relations and go alone – this is called “Sanyasa”.
