Swamiji, I live in Dallas and have been listening to your lectures on CD’s and on youtube for a while now. They give me immense strength and help me feel closer to the divine. Recently I started listening to the Bhagvatham for the second time and I have been trying to understand why Krishna, during the Mahabharath yudh asked Yudhishtr to say” Ashwathama is dead” and then weaken Dronacharya? Secondly, why did Krishna ask Bheem to hit Duryodhan on his thigh? Isn’t that going against the rules. I know that I am a mere mortal and god’s ways are mysterios but if you have an explanation I would love to hear it! Thank you

Dear Anu,
All these doubts occur when we look at things from the periphery.
If you go back to the beginning of the stories, you will realize that they all had invited the right kind of reactions to their past actions.
No one can escape from the results of their Karma!
Lord Krishna was dispassionately facilitating the reaction to take place!
(Remember HE did not try to save HIS own children from their deserving destiny).
We need to understand that the Lord is not a person, but the Omnipresent Chaithanyam or Life Force in all!
HariOm!
