Dear Sarala,
Helping poor is not spirituality.
It is the belief of Christianity because they see poor people as lower to them.
We consider every one as the manifestation of the same Divinity.
Actually we have no charity-because the one who gives charity considers himself to be superior to others.
We have “DANAM”, means sharing. Sharing what you have!
It is physical and mental DANAM.
Olden days, in Gurukulas, our Gurus used to give knowledge, food and clothes freely.
They transformed poor minds into rich minds in knowledge,
Christianity can not understand this concept because they do not have a mind transforming education.
They can not understand a mentally rich Kuchela.
If a Pope sees Kuchela he will do charity.
Burt If Krishna seea Kuchela HE will prostrate, wash his feet and put that theertham on his head honouring his devotion to the Lord and attitude.
So sharing and helping others to transform themselves is spiritual.
