Our scriptures say as yugas go by, it becomes shorter in time, and grosser in attitudes. So people become selfish, jealous, self oriented and tend to move away from their inner wealth and be focussed on the outer material wealth. It is however, worth knowing that simple processes like namajapam is enough to overcome the troubles of kaliyuga. So transcendence is relatively easy if we are committed. Hari Om.
