Swamiji, My 13 & 11 yr old sons used to recite sandhya naamam till llast year. Now not at all doing so. If I insist , in the morning while getting ready , they hurriedly recite small part of ramayana or Gita which they know by heart. But never will they sit at a place and concentrate. Now getting up early is also stopped. Last yr they themselves used to go to a nearby temple by 6.30 AM. Now a days , the Pandavas in them are suppressed and the Kauravas are seen dominant.Swamiji, please guide me so that I can bring my sons to good practices to become good citizens.

Any discipline imposed will always be followed without interest and involvement.
On the other hand if it is “accepted discipline” it is followed out of love and respect.
Unfortunately most of the parents are inefficient in changing ” imposed into accepted”.
Parents like you need training for this. Once you convince the importance of “chanting of mantras”, they will do it lovingly.
