Swamiji my mind is so fluctuating,I am studying and reading scriptures like Gita, bhaja Govindham yet my mind doesn’t come under control and stay balanced.I did japa sadhana for some time to purify and balance my mind yet I am afraid to take major decisions and I am unable to be regular at sadhana. Some people in family appreciate that I am doing all this at a relatively young age but they don’t know that it’s not making me better. Its easy to overcome lust and anger for me, but I cannot overcome the deep emotional need to be appreciated and acknowledged and after some point I cannot tolerate people ignoring me or treating me badly especially those who are close to me,if they are strangers or people who don’t know me much or are not close to me I can take it in my stride but with the ones who are close to me I can’t tolerate it and my mind loses balance thinking about everything I have shared with or done for them. How do I overcome this. Do you think I can make spiritual progress or live a good family life with such fluctuating mind and emotions and if so how can I do it.I will be really grateful for your help .Thanks so much

Hari Ohm . Unless your sadhana becomes deeper and consistent ,these vasanas will not fade away. When Your saadhanas become mature and powerful all your old emotional cravings and expectation will become weaker and you will become stronger and balanced. Never discontinue your saadhanas. It is like over writing on a CD. The more you over write the old stuff will completely wiped off.
