SWAMIJI, one’s happiness&sufferings are the result of one’s karma. At the same time we also say that everything happens with the grace of GOD..If so for sukh, dhuk who is responsible? Either individual or GOD?

What we experience in life in terms of people we meet, opportunities we get, environments we are in, everything is decided by the inherent tendencies we have or our karma vasanas. Now, to understand the second part of your question, we should understand what God is. God is not a person sitting outside you and making your life good or bad. HE is the pure, divine consciousness which is the core of your being. So what you make of these experiences that life brings, depends on how strongly you invoke the Divine powers within you. Even when in the vast universe everything is going well, one nasty little thought in your mind can ruin your day. When you invoke your Divine powers you have the ability to see things beyond your distorted vision and selfish interests, you become more accepting, less judgmental, less jealous, and more serene. You develop the ability to love others, see your own pettiness and another person’s perspective. You learn to forgive and make the world a better place by your presence. You don’t even say anything that would hurt someone else. In the life of such a person dukh has no place. He learns to take bad experiences are opportunities for self improvement and renews himself everyday. He also lives with the realization that every act he does now, is acquiring karma for his future. In this process, he moves towards Divinity himself. Hari Om.
