Swamiji please tell me what is the difference between the mantra “hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare” and “hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna hare hare hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare”. Are they both called the maha mantra. In your bhagavata sapthaham CD you mention the first pray as the maha mantra. where as Iskcon considers the latter as the maha mantra…please clear my doubts. Warm regards

You have written it as I have explained.
“Hare Rama…. Hare Krishna….” is referred as the Maha Mantra by our Masters, ideal for chanting in Kali Yuga.
Any Mantra becomes transformative, only when it is chanted with awareness, commitment and devotion.
(Remember the story of Ratnakara).
