Swamiji , please tell me your opinion about the observance of refraining from going to the temple or the pooja room for a few days ( 14 to 16 days ? ) after the death of a blood relation . I mean , the observance of ” pela ” Is it a superstition or is it important to observe it ? Please let me know . Thank you .

When a temple visit is meant to meditate upon the Higher Truth,one must not be emotionally unstable.
It will affect the other devotees too.
So, being completely with the grief (not attending public functions etc.) will uplift the mind completely from the grief. Then one can move ahead in life with a rejuvenated mind.
